Mintoo is for sending and requesting money between people who know each other, for personal, everyday purposes. This policy is part of our Terms.
Template
This page is a placeholder for the operator to complete. Text in [square brackets] must be filled in, and the whole page reviewed by a qualified lawyer, before Mintoo goes live.
You may not use Mintoo to
- Evade sanctions, or send money to or from people, companies or countries under EU, UN, UK or US sanctions.
- Launder money, finance terrorism, or hide where money comes from.
- Buy, sell or pay for illegal goods or services, including drugs, weapons, stolen goods, counterfeit goods and child sexual abuse material.
- Pay for gambling, betting, lotteries or games of chance.
- Commit fraud, run scams, or pressure or trick anyone into paying.
- Pay for adult content or services, or for any service that is illegal where you or the other person live.
- Run a business, take payments from customers, or send money on behalf of other people.
- Split payments to stay under a limit, or use several accounts.
- Use someone else's identity, or let someone else use your account.
- Harass, threaten or spam other people, in payments or in chats.
- Interfere with Mintoo, try to break its security, or access it with bots or scripts.
Once adding money by bank transfer is offered, our verification and payments partner's own list of prohibited uses will also apply whenever you add or cash out money.
What happens if you break these rules
Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- ask you for more information or to verify your identity;
- lower your limits or turn off features such as adding money;
- suspend or close your Mintoo account;
- report the activity to the police or other authorities where the law requires or allows it.
Because your wallet is self-custodial, we can't take money out of it. If we close your account, you keep access to your wallet so you can move your balance. See Ending your account in the Terms.
Report a problem
If someone is scamming or harassing you, block them in the chat and tell us at [support@your-domain]. For a formal complaint about Mintoo, see Complaints.
